Heat for free

With fuel prices rising at such alarming rates many people are looking to reduce or eliminate their heating costs.

Of course, there are many options to consider here - solar panels, wind turbines, etc ... however by far the most simple options are a fire:

Whatever your choice you can gather at least some of your fuel for free.

Consider how many times you see bits and bobs of lumber lying around - branches, twigs, and the like ... annoying in the road when you're on your way to work, but as "heat for free" ... well!

For your initial investment of around £750 - simple stove, installed (by a HETAS registered installer) and ready to light. Of course, you can spend more if you want it and go to town with the stove and fire surround.

Or you can re-instate an old fireplace. Many houses have them - a simple check over and sweep will very often be sufficient to bring them back to life.

What to burn?

Logs - from managed sources, or wind falls - we sell logs, but of course this is the FREE bit - you can pick fallen wood up all over the place ...

Alternatively:

Wood and bio fuels are considered "carbon neutral" as they consume carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as they grow.
